Lori graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from SFU and then went on to UBC to complete her Bachelor of Science in physical therapy in 1993. She enjoys being a dual trained Physiotherapist and Kinesiologist, along with a registered BCRPA fitness leader. After working in the hospital for a few years, she ran a work conditioning program for ICBC clients for a few more and then settled down in private practice, joining Anson in 1999. Lori bought the clinic in 2002 and has seen the clinic evolve and grow over the past years. She has taken her level three orthopaedic courses, many post graduate physiotherapy courses and continues to take courses every year. She was certified in Bioflex's Low Intensity Laser Therapy in 2010 and loves this healing modality for many injuries. It helps tissue healing at a cellular level. Of course, manual treatment, individual exercise prescription, education and taping are also mainstays of treatment. She took her Dry Needling certification in 2017 and is continuing to expand her tools to help with myofascial pain. She also works as a teaching assistant on Dry Needling Canada courses. Recently, she completed her Gunn IMS (intramuscular stimulation) at UBC, to help with chronic pain.
Lori's interests are teaching fitness classes, being with her dog Walnut, baking, Shuswap, Hawaii and meditation.
